We take a traditional approach to our work in historical building restoration. Bringing new life to an old building is an art that we take seriously, working from a foundation of expertise in building systems and from our knowledge base in traditional construction practices. These traditional construction practices are dependent on the use of natural materials where modern petrochemical building materials are insufficient to achieve true historical restoration. Traditional masonry, natural wood finishes, linseed oil paints, plasters, and hand crafted woodwork are all important and are long standing materials in construction. Historical building restoration is an opportunity to improve the quality of a building, avoid the environmental impact of new construction, and create beautiful and healthy spaces.
